When the room isn’t squared…

What I have to do is draw a replica of the backsplash dimensions on the floor (on Ram board, cardboard material). Walls are not plumb and the ceiling is not flat so after I have the replica I determined my centre starting point and lay out the tiles then overlay a straight edge to get a cut line on the tiles.

Preparing the tiles …

They are then cut and honed (to remove the saw chips).

Laying the tiles …

I do a centre line on the backsplash and then install the tiles from the replica layout.
